Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a MRB/MAP stress specialist to support aircraft programs. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team, interpreting drawings, and collaborating with Stress, Manufacturing, and Aerodynamics teams.

The role requires a strong aerospace background, CATIA V5 proficiency, and the ability to mentor new MRB candidates in a fast-paced environment. Relocation to Mobile, Alabama is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of five years MRB/MAP experience in commercial/business aircraft or eight years design experience in Aerospace.
• Excellent knowledge of aircraft structure and system installation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge in mechanics of materials, stress analysis and composite materials.
• Desire and capability to obtain Engineering MRB delegation after on-the-job training.
• Knowledge in design office (design or stress) of aircraft structures (Airframe).
• Extensive knowledge in CATIA V5 or similar CAD software.
• Ability to work autonomously and be a good teammate.
• Excellent communication and social skills, dedication, and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Investigate non-conformances reported by the Quality group.
• Evaluate manufacturing deviation and its effect within the assembly.
• Create engineering dispositions, supported by drawings and standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with Stress, Manufacturing and Production, and Aerodynamics specialists.
• Coordinate with production and support groups to fix operational issues on aircraft.
• Share information and collaborate between sites for knowledge exchange.
• Coordinate with MAP offices (Spain, Mexico, India) to address client requirements.
• Mentor MRB candidates through on-the-job training.
