Job summary

Joby Aviation is seeking a Staff MRB Stress Engineer for its MRB Engineering team in Marina, CA. This role focuses on dispositioning non-conformances and ensuring materials and components meet airworthiness requirements.

The engineer will analyze structures, support builds, and oversee repairs in a high-volume production environment. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in aerospace, MRB experience, and proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, with hands-on manufacturing or repair depot exposure.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical or related discipline.
• 8+ years in an aerospace engineering role.
• Experience with metallic and composite structures repair/manufacture.
• MRB experience in aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Select methods and criteria to resolve complex engineering issues.
• Write dispositions to restore airworthiness with clear requirements.
• Produce structural substantiation reports for NCR disposition.
• Develop MRB methods and tools and MRB system.
• Monitor trends of discrepancies and support corrective actions.
• Communicate with quality, inspection, and manufacturing engineers.
