Job summary

Responsibilities include identifying potential MPI duplicates, performing merges, updating demographics, and coordinating with Registration, Billing, Privacy, and IT to support chart corrections and downstream data consistency.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a Health Information Department or equivalency.
• Completion in Medical Terminology, Anatomy, Physiology, and Basic Coding.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resolution requests from clinicians, departments, patients, and families.
• Educate staff on reporting and correcting health record documentation.
• Research, merge, and correct MPI duplicates per policy and communicate changes to downstream systems.
