Weatherford is seeking a Flow Loop Mechanical Lab Technician in Houston, TX to support engineering and product line teams by conducting development testing and operating specialized flow loop and HPHT systems.

You will evaluate MPD equipment performance and fluid behavior under controlled pressure conditions that simulate real drilling operations, supporting maintenance test facilities.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5+ years in electrical/mechanical assembly or flow loop operations.
• Experience with MPD systems or drilling-related environments preferred.
• Proficient with measuring instruments (e.g., tapes, gauges, micrometers).
• Strong English communication skills (written, verbal).
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs and work in varied environments.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and test flow loop systems for MPD and oilfield tools.
• Set up and execute MPD test programs and test rigs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot MPD flow loops under varying pressure scenarios.
• Collect real-time data using PLCs, LabVIEW, and Canary Labs.
• Perform maintenance and calibration on high pressure equipment.
• Assist engineering with troubleshooting and performance evaluations.
