Job summary

Boeing in Everett, WA seeks an Associate or Mid-Level MP&P (Chemical/Contamination) Technician (Level 2 or 3) for a six-month contract through a Boeing-approved third party. The role supports the Fluids and Spectroscopy Lab Team with QA testing of fluids and lubricants and tool qualification.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and hands-on lab experience with analytical equipment such as XRF, pH meters, titrators, GC/GC-MS, plus Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory equipment including calibration certification.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment including implementation of 5S requirements and laboratory SOPs.
• Prepare laboratory reagents and standards used to calibrate and/or verify instrument performance.
• Support, coordinate, and conduct complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures; generate test plans and document results.

Job description

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full‑time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Seeking an Associate or Mid‑Level MP&P (Chemical/Contamination) Technician (Level 2 or 3) to join the Fluids and Spectroscopy Lab Team in Everett, Washington. This is a contract position for six (6) months. The diverse team of subject matter experts applies engineering knowledge of materials, processes, and physics engineering disciplines (materials science, chemistry, physics) to support the engineering, manufacture, and sustainment of Boeing products regarding the design, production, application, and maintenance of mechanical and structural systems.

Position responsibilities:

• Perform quality assurance (QA) testing of fluids and lubricants.
• Perform tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements.
• Maintain laboratory equipment including calibration certification.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment including implementation of 5S requirements and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
• Prepare laboratory reagents and standards used to calibrate and/or verify instrument performance.
• Support, coordinate, and conduct complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures. Generate test plans, identify and categorize failure, determine root cause and document results and recommendations.
• Support the proposal, development, and validation of revisions to procedures and specifications.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
• Laboratory experience operating analytical test equipment including XRF, pH meters, automated titrators and/or manual titration practices, GC and or GC/MS.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience documenting and clearly communicating test results to customers.
• Experience performing laboratory testing to standards (i.e. ASTM, SAE).
• Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule.

Shift Work Statement:

• Training (2–3 months):
  • 1st shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm)
  • 5‑day work week, 8‑hour shifts
  • Monday through Friday
• After Training:
  • 2nd shift (10:00 am or later to 8:30 pm)
  • 4‑day work week, 10‑hour shifts
  • Wednesday through Saturday

Pay Rate Range

Min Pay Rate $41
