Job summary

Seeking an Associate or Mid-Level MP&P (Chemical/Contamination) Technician for a six-month contract in Seattle, WA. Role focuses on QA testing of fluids and lubricants, calibration, and complex failure analysis to drive improvements.

Role is a contract assignment through a Boeing-approved third party. Training and shift options are described, with typical 1st and 2nd shifts and pay in USD per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
• Laboratory experience operating analytical test equipment including XRF, FTIR, pH meters, Automated Titrators and/or manual Titration practices, GC and or GC/MS.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word).

Responsibilities

• Performs quality assurance (QA) testing of fluids and lubricants.
• Performs tests to qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements.
• Maintains laboratory equipment including calibration certification.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment including implementation of 5S requirements and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
• Prepare laboratory reagents and standards used to calibrate and/or verify instrument performance.
• Supports, coordinates, and conducts complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures. Generates test plans, identifies, and categorizes failure, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations.
• Supports the proposal, development, and validation of revisions to procedures and specifications.
