Job summary

Melaleuca Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Custodian to provide custodial services for our Distribution Center in Kansas City, Missouri. This on-site role runs Friday through Monday, 7:00am to 5:30pm with occasional overtime during peak periods.

The position includes benefits such as profit sharing and longevity bonuses, and offers a clean, non-smoking campus. The successful candidate will vacuum, scrub floors, sanitize restrooms, stock break room supplies, and maintain a safe, organized work

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently.
• Multiple lifting of up to 40 lbs during shift.
• Clear written and verbal communication required.
• Ability to walk, stretch and lift for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to climb stairs as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum carpeted floors and floor mats.
• Scrub cement floors with industrial machine.
• Sweep, mop and dust all areas including shipping, manufacturing and warehouse.
• Remove trash from the building and deposit in receptacle.
• Clean restrooms with disinfectant.
• Clean break room and prep area.
• Stock break room supplies and operate coffee machines.
• Clean windows inside and outside using lift equipment.
• Access hard-to-reach areas overhead and around equipment.
• Clean offices, lobby and observatory windows.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

We’re looking for a Full-Time Custodian to provide custodial services for our Distribution Center.

This position is located in Kansas City, Missouri and is a Non-Smoking Campus

WE shift – Friday - Monday 7:00am- 5:30pm (Required OT at Peak Times twice per month to include Friday and Saturday, same times)

We offer:

• $17.50/hr + $1/hr Shift Differential = $18.50/hr

Responsibilities:

• Vacuums carpeted floors and floor mats
• Cleans cement floors by using an industrial floor scrubbing machine
• Sweeps, mops and dusts all areas of the building including shipping, manufacturing and warehouse areas.
• Ensures that all trash is removed from the building and deposits it into the receptacle.
• Cleans all restrooms by sweeping & mopping floors, disinfecting the restrooms, (i.e., wiping & washing urinals, toilets, sinks, stalls, walls, floors, mirrors, etc.) with disinfectant.
• Cleans break room by sweeping floors, disinfecting the lunchroom: by wiping & washing tables, chairs, counters, floors, walls, windows, etc.
• Ensures all refuse is removed from the grounds around the building by sweeping sidewalks, picking up trash, and emptying garbage cans and ash buckets.
• Stocks break room with supplies and prepares coffee and hot chocolate machines for use.
• Cleans windows inside and outside of the facility by using scissor lift or man lift.
• Cleans hard to reach areas overhead and under the equipment including racks and windows.
• Cleans offices including desks, chairs, carpet and chair mats.
• Cleans lobby area including the mezzanine and observatory windows.
• Other tasks as assigned
