Job summary

Pink Zebra Moving is seeking a hands-on Operations Supervisor to oversee daily moving operations in the New York area. You will ensure staffing, scheduling, and execution of jobs, while guiding crews to meet safety and service standards.

In this role you will train and coach team members, coordinate with customers, monitor progress, and address issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction. You may assist with hiring, onboarding, and marketing initiatives as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily moving operations and ensure jobs are properly staffed, scheduled, and executed.
• Lead, motivate, train, and coach moving crews and team members.
• Coordinate with customers before, during, and after moves to ensure a positive experience.
• Monitor job progress and resolve operational or customer issues quickly and professionally.
• Ensure crews follow company procedures, safety standards, and customer-service expectations.
• Conduct or assist with quality-control checks on moving jobs.
• Help manage employee schedules, attendance, performance, and productivity.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and development of new team members.
• Maintain accurate records, paperwork, inventory, equipment, and vehicle-related documentation.
• Help ensure moving trucks, equipment, and supplies are clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Monitor job profitability, labor hours, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with ownership and management regarding daily operations and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with customer estimates, scheduling, follow-up, and service recovery when needed.
• Represent Pink Zebra Moving professionally and help reinforce the company's culture and values.
• Be willing to jump in and assist the team when needed, including on moving jobs.
• Be willing to assist with marketing.
