Job summary

Utah State University in Logan, Utah is seeking a mover to transport furniture and equipment on campus and for events. The role runs 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with occasional nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate university events.

You will set up and remove items, operate forklifts and moving trucks, track inventory, hire and train staff, and help ensure safety and customer satisfaction. This is a physically demanding position with opportunities to contribute to event logistics and campus

Qualifications

• Two years of experience or associate degree/vocational training.
• Valid driver’s license to perform essential job responsibilities.
• Ability to gain forklift certification.
• Experience organizing schedules.
• 1 year of a similar moving operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove furniture, equipment, and related items for events.
• Locate and relocate office, lab and event equipment.
• Operate moving trucks and forklifts safely.
• Maintain records of employees, equipment and maintenance.
• Schedule work assignments to meet deadlines.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues.
