Job summary

William & Mary is seeking a Moving & Events Services Worker to provide moving and event support for faculty, students, staff, alumni, and partners. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, assembling furniture, setting up and breaking down event spaces, and assisting after-events cleanup.

The role requires a valid driver’s license with two years of driving experience, strong communication and customer-service skills, and the ability to lift heavy items (up to 75 lbs) and operate basic

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license and two years of driving experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and to operate forklift/heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform moving and event services as per work orders.
• Load/unload furniture and equipment; move items within facilities.
• Assemble/disassemble furniture and perform minor repairs.
• Set up/break down furniture and event items; transport materials.
• Provide cleanup support after events and assist with emergency recovery.
• Work outdoors in varied weather and overtime when required.
