Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a Vehicle Operator III for Moving Services to lead and perform a wide range of campus moves, relocating office furniture, laboratory equipment, and heavy machinery across the campus.

You will operate CDL vehicles and material-handling equipment, provide guidance to less experienced staff, and coordinate move schedules while ensuring safety and efficiency. Snow removal and on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Equivalency: 1 year higher education may substitute for 1 year related experience.
• Vehicle Operator III requires 3+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform campus-wide moves for faculty, staff, students, and research departments.
• Operate CDL vehicles, forklifts, telehandlers, and other equipment to move materials.
• Plan move schedules and ensure timely completion of requests.
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced employees.
• Perform snow removal and winter response as assigned.
• Maintain records of move requests and vehicle inspections.
