U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a General Manager Trainee to oversee a moving and storage center in Meridian, Idaho. You will learn to manage inventory, equipment upkeep, and customer service while working toward profit and efficiency goals.

The program includes hands-on training, potential advancement, and a commitment to ongoing education through U-Haul University. Weekend and holiday availability is required, with emphasis on P&L accountability and leadership development.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in retail or service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment.
• Track and itemize inventory.
• Ensure customers receive the highest quality of care.
• Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash.
• Clean and monitor the premises, maintain a secure environment.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
