Job summary

Miraval Berkshires Resort and Spa seeks a Commissioned Movement & Motivation Instructor to lead fitness activities aimed at overall health and well-being. The role requires availability on Sundays and a commitment to Miraval’s wellness philosophy and client-first approach.

You will design engaging workouts, coach correct form, monitor progress, and motivate guests to reach personal goals in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience in Health & Wellness including yoga, meditation and fitness; use of cardio and strength equipment.
• Ability to foster a positive work environment and teamwork; contribute to team culture.
• Capable of lifting moderate loads and setting up equipment for activities.
• NCCA-certified group fitness (or personal training) credentials and AED/CPR/First Aid.

• Lead individuals or groups in exercise activities to improve health, fitness, and well-being.
• Develop and deliver safe, effective, and engaging workout programs.

Miraval Berkshires is seeking a commissioned based Movement & Motivation Instructor that requires the availability to work Sundays.

A Movement & Motivation Instructor is responsible for leading individuals or groups in exercise activities designed to improve overall health, fitness, and well-being. They develop and deliver safe, effective, and engaging workout programs, demonstrate proper exercise techniques, monitor participant performance, and provide motivation and support to help clients achieve their fitness goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science/Physiology, Recreation, Athletic Administration, Physical Education, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated relative experience in a Health & Wellness fields to include: yoga, meditation and fitness. Experience in proper use and management of cardiovascular and weight training equipment.
• Ability to foster a positive work environment and encourage collaboration and teamwork. A commitment to making an active and meaningful contribution to the culture of the team.
• The individual should be capable of lifting moderate loads and performing equipment set-ups for various activities.
• One or more professional fitness certifications accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) such as NASM, NSCA, ACE, ACSM, AFAA in Group Fitness (Personal Training in addition is a plus) and American Red Cross AED, CPR and First Aid certification.
