Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support the Surgical Therapies for Movement Disorders program. This onsite role focuses on coordinating referrals, scheduling surgeries, DBS programming, and data collection for outcomes and safety in children and young adults with dystonia and related disorders.

You will work closely with neurology and neurosurgery teams, assist with IRB submissions, and help recruit and consent participants for studies while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, biology, psychology, public health or related field.
• At least one year of experience in clinical research or healthcare; strong organization and communication skills.
• Experience with REDCap, Epic, IRB processes and human subjects research is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for families, referring clinicians, and outside centers; coordinate referrals and evaluations.
• Coordinate operating room scheduling, DBS programming visits, and postoperative follow-up.
• Maintain a central database of referred and treated patients; collect surgical outcome and safety data.
• Support recruitment, consent, and biospecimen collection for IRB-approved studies and existing biorepositories.
• Assist with IRB submissions, amendments, and regulatory documentation.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Global Alliances on outreach and referral development; prepare program reports.
