Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations of a natural history study in rare childhood-onset neurological diseases. You will recruit and consent patients, coordinate visits, and handle logistics, including travel and biospecimen handling.

You will work closely with Dr. Darius Ebrahimi-Fakhari and the team, interfacing with patients, families, advocacy groups, and conferences, with occasional travel and weekend events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, biology, psychology, public health, or a related field is required.
• At least one year of experience in clinical research or a healthcare setting; excellent organizational and communication skills; comfort working directly with patients and families.
• Experience with informed consent, IRB submissions, REDCap or Epic, research contracts or budgets, and working with pediatric patients or patient advocacy organizations.

Responsabilités

• Recruit and consent patients and families, and serve as their main point of contact throughout the study.
• Schedule and coordinate study visits, including clinical assessments and biospecimen collection.
• Manage study logistics, including participant travel and reimbursement, sample processing, and shipping.
• Prepare and submit IRB protocols, amendments, and continuing reviews, and maintain regulatory documentation.
• Manage study contracts, agreements, and budgets in collaboration with institutional offices.
• Collect and manage study data in REDCap, and represent the study at patient and family conferences.
