Job summary

The Finger Companies in Northbrook, IL are seeking a Make Ready II Technician to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready and meet company standards. You will perform repairs, replacements, and touch-ups, and coordinate with Property Manager and Lead Maintenance to prioritize work orders.

1+ years’ experience in multifamily property maintenance.
EPA Certification
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with basic plumbing and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Complete repairs, replacements, and touch-ups to ensure apartments are move-in ready.
Repair or replace appliances, fixtures, flooring, and cabinetry as needed.
Patch and paint walls, ceilings, and trim to achieve a high-quality finish.
Change locks and prepare keys for new residents.
Work closely with Property Manager and Lead Maintenance to prioritize work orders and ensure timely unit turnovers.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and work orders.
Assist with routine maintenance and repair tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc.
Follow all applicable EPA and OSHA regulations regarding the safe storage and handling of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics, and Freon.
