Job summary

The Finger Companies seeks a dedicated Make Ready II Technician to join our maintenance team in the multifamily housing sector. You will ensure vacant apartment homes are fully prepared to company standards prior to new resident move-in and support the daily maintenance and service requests.

This role includes participation in on-call rotations for nights and weekends, independent work with minimal supervision, and collaboration with the Property Manager and Lead Maintenance to prioritize work

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in multifamily property maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with basic plumbing and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using common maintenance tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs, replacements, and touch-ups to ensure apartments are move-in ready.
• Repair or replace appliances, fixtures, flooring, and cabinetry as needed.
• Patch and paint walls, ceilings, and trim to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Change locks and prepare keys for new residents.
• Work closely with Property Manager and Lead Maintenance to prioritize work orders and ensure timely unit turnovers.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and work orders.
• Assist with routine maintenance and repair tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc.
• Follow all applicable EPA and OSHA regulations regarding the safe storage and handling of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics, and Freon.
