Move-In Readiness Technician

Job summary

Maymont Homes is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare vacant homes for new residents by conducting move-out inspections, performing general repairs, and aiding with final punch and readiness tasks. You will help ensure homes meet Clean, Safe, and Functional standards and support fast turnarounds.

The role requires strong time management and the ability to work independently as you manage your daily workload to complete homes within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial move-out inspections on assigned homes
• Identify and document repair needs, damages, to create the scope of work
• Assist with punch walks and final readiness tasks as requested
• Support efforts to bring homes to leasing readiness quickly and efficiently
• Install and replace door stops, blinds, and basic hardware
• Install and test smoke detectors and CO detectors
• Perform smart lock installations and basic troubleshooting
• Complete light interior painting and wall touch-ups
• Clean and prep walls for readiness
• Replace light fixtures and bulbs as needed
• Complete minor drywall patching and basic repairs
• Complete repairs during the initial visit whenever possible
• Reduce repeat trips and support timely turn completion
• Communicate repair needs that require additional support or vendor involvement
• Record inspection findings and completed repairs in company systems
• Upload before/after photos and notes as required
• Maintain accurate and timely status updates
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives
