Job summary

Main Street Auto in Candler, NC is seeking a General Tire & Lube Technician to join a professional team. You will perform tire rotations, oil changes, and inspections to keep customer vehicles safe and running smoothly.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend hours, competitive weekly pay, and opportunities for training and growth within a friendly, supportive shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as Tire & Lube Technician preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to safely operate shop tools and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good time‑management and ability to work efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire rotations, installations, repairs and balancing.
• Complete oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid services.
• Conduct basic vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Assist with wheel alignments and verify proper handling and tire wear.
• Maintain accurate service records, including parts used and time spent.
• Provide friendly, helpful service when assisting customers with tire or maintenance questions.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

About the Position
