Job summary

Main Street Auto is seeking a skilled General Tire and Lube Technician to join a fast-paced automotive service team in Garner, NC. The role focuses on tire work, oil changes, inspections, and quality customer service, with a schedule typically from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays.

Applicants should be Emissions certified, at least 18, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years old.
• Emissions certification required.

• Previous tire and lube technician experience preferred.
• Proficient tire installation, repair, and oil change knowledge.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.

• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire rotations, installations, and repairs with precision and efficiency.
• Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify potential issues or safety concerns.
• Conduct wheel alignments and balance tires for even tread wear.
• Maintain accurate service records including parts used and time spent.
• Assist customers with tire recommendations and inquiries while delivering excellent service.
• Adhere to safety protocols in a shop environment.

• 8:00AM-6:00PM (M-F)
• 8:00AM-4:00PM (Sat)
• $600-$800 per week

Responsibilities:

• Perform tire rotations, installations, and repairs with precision and efficiency
