Job summary

Snowbird is seeking a Prep Cook (Cook 1) to support kitchen operations by prepping ingredients and performing basic cooking duties. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment to ensure high-quality meals for guests.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a food handler permit (or willingness to obtain one), and the ability to work weekends/holidays and weather-related overnight stays when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or expected.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus.
• Valid Food Handler Permit or willingness to obtain one.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen health and safety rules.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Follow all food quality, safety, preparation, nutrition guidelines.
• Wash, chop, and measure ingredients as directed.
• Stock, label, and organize ingredients for easy access.
• Assist with basic food preparation.
• Support other kitchen positions as needed.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organized: sanitize surfaces, wash dishes, and take out trash.
• Communicate clearly with Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen team.
• Participate in on-the-job-training and skill development.
