Job summary

Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation seeks an experienced Lead Cook/Chef to supervise on-mountain kitchen operations and assist with menu development. You will train staff, ensure food safety, and manage inventory and costs to meet budget targets.

Requirements include 2+ years in a lead culinary role, knife skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Colorado Steamboat Springs location with on-site work and seasonal considerations.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record check.
• Minimum 2 years’ Lead Cook or Chef capacity (banquet chef or restaurant chef acceptable).
• Experience supervising multiple stations and managing service pace.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily kitchen operations and assist Director of Culinary with food handling and sanitation.
• Develop menus with Director of Culinary and test recipes.
• Train staff, supervise prep lists, and maintain kitchen cleanliness and equipment.
• Oversee inventory, food costs, and par levels; coordinate with purchasing on budgets.
