Youth Exploring Adventure Inc DBA Hilltop Ski Area in Anchorage, AK seeks an Assistant Director of Mountain Operations to lead and coordinate the guest experience across Lift Operations, Ski Patrol, Terrain Parks, and related mountain programs.

Reporting to the Director of Mountain Operations, the role provides operational leadership across facilities, staff, events, and resources to deliver exceptional experiences for guests, youth, schools, and community partners.

Qualifications

Six (6) years of experience in ski areas, mountain resort, or related operational environments.
Three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Must pass a background check.
Demonstrated understanding of mountain operations, guest services, and risk management.
Experience coordinating multiple operational functions in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Lead guest experience initiatives and ensure a welcoming, accessible environment.
Coordinate operations across Lift Operations, Ski Patrol, Terrain Parks, Bike Park, Trails, and Events.
Direct staffing, training, and development for seasonal and year-round teams.
Oversee safety, compliance, and risk management across mountain operations.
Plan and execute special events, races, and community programs.
Maintain mountain presentation, grounds, and facilities readiness.
