ElectroCraft, Inc. is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering department for electric motors and controls. This senior role drives R&D and sustaining engineering, overseeing a team and shaping strategic initiatives to deliver high-quality products on schedule.

The ideal candidate will spearhead research, foster collaboration across disciplines, and align engineering activities with market needs and corporate objectives. Travel may be required to support vendors and customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership in R&D/engineering.
• Business acumen with ability to translate technical insights into outcomes.
• Experience managing diverse staff, multiple projects, vendors/contractors, budgets.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering staff.
• Oversee motor and motor design; own New Product Development Process.
• Improve motor design and manufacturing processes with VAVE.
• Identify new product opportunities and streamline workflows.
• Develop succession and training plans for the engineering organization.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and customers.
• Set engineering strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Monitor market trends and competition; engage in long-term planning.
• Create CAPEX budgets to support new product development.
