Job summary

ElectroCraft, Inc. seeks a Director of Engineering to oversee the motor and controls engineering teams, guiding research, development, and sustaining efforts. You will lead a cross-functional group, shape strategy, and ensure timely, high-quality product delivery aligned with market needs.

The role requires 10+ years in leadership-heavy engineering roles, with a Bachelor's in Engineering and an advanced degree preferred. Travel domestically and internationally to support projects is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in R&D and engineering within manufacturing/technology.
• Strong business acumen translating technical insights into business outcomes.
• Experience managing diverse, highly technical staff, multiple projects, vendors, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering staff; oversee motor and motor design opportunities.
• Own New Product Development Process; drive design improvements and VAVE initiatives.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive R&D/engineering strategy aligned with market trends.
• Collaborate with executives to identify opportunities and address challenges.
• Provide clear direction and performance management for the engineering team.
• Create CAPEX budgets to support new product development.
