Job summary

Virginia Peninsula Community College, a two-year institution serving the Hampton area, seeks experienced motorcycle safety instructors to teach noncredit classes in the College's Workforce Development Division. Non-Credit Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time and contracted on a course-by-course basis, and will not exceed 1500 contracted hours per year.

Teaching schedules may include day, evening, weekend, and distance education classes based on course schedules and instructor availability.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in delivering or developing training.
• Knowledge of and ability to use word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, database and communication software.

Responsibilities

• Teach noncredit motorcycle safety classes on a course-by-course basis.
• Prepare and evaluate instructional materials and assessments.
• Coordinate with Workforce Development Division and schedule classes.
