Job summary

Virginia Western Community College is seeking Part‑Time Motorcycle Instructors to teach the MSF basic rider safety course for students pursuing licensing for 2-wheel or 3-wheel motorcycles. Instructors must maintain currency and may assist in emergency declaration activities or other duties as required by the agency or state government.

The role requires teaching on a flexible schedule, with evening and weekend availability in addition to weekday commitments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least five years of motorcycle riding experience.
• Valid Virginia operator’s license with a motorcycle endorsement.
• Current MSF Rider Coach certification and completion of BRCu training.

Responsibilities

• Teach MSF basic rider safety courses to students on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Maintain current instructor certification and instructional currency.
• Assist with emergency declaration activities for the Governor when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and support agency or state governmental needs.
