Job summary

Minnehaha County in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Tax and License Technician to assist residents with motor vehicle and real estate transactions. You will provide extraordinary customer service, handle titles, registrations, fees, and records, and balance daily financial activity in a fast-paced environment.

A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service and cash handling experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• 1 year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional communication with the public.

Responsibilities

• Handle motor vehicle titles, registrations, transfers, renewals, fees, taxes, permits, and records.
• Review and process motor vehicle documents and financial materials, ensuring compliance.
• Offer customer service and technical support by phone, in person, and in writing for motor vehicle issues.
• Enter, verify, and update vehicle registrations, applications, and tax records; compile and validate data.
• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, correct discrepancies, and prepare cash bags.
