Job summary

The New Mexico Department of Justice seeks an Associate Tax and Revenue Representative to process credentials and manage driver and vehicle transactions for NM residents and others who interact with the MVD.

You will issue licenses, IDs, permits, perform VIN inspections, administer road tests, answer inquiries, and deliver courteous service in a fast-paced, office setting. A high school diploma and at least six months of clerical experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of general office, clerical, and/or administrative experience.
• Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience totaling six months may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Process credentials: Noncommercial Driver's Licenses, Commercial Driver Licenses, Permits, Identification Cards, etc.
• Title and Register all qualified motor vehicles
• Prepare Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) inspections
• Provide road tests and written tests
• Answer phones from the public and private entities
• Assist customers in all motor vehicle related transactions
