This is a semi-skilled position requiring responsibility for operating refuse and recycling vehicles and medium-duty motor equipment. The role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of trucks and other motor equipment ranging from light to moderate tonnage, along with performing manual and semi-skilled tasks associated with these duties. Work may include manual labor tasks requiring strength and endurance.

Responsibilities include operating dump trucks, refuse and recycling vehicles, platform trucks, rack body trucks, utility trucks, wheeled tractors, and other equipment of similar difficulty. Tasks also involve loading and unloading trucks, servicing equipment with fuel, oil, or coolants, making minor adjustments and repairs, and performing departmental laboring duties.

Qualifications
