Position Overview

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to load, offload, or transport landscape supplies such as mulch, topsoil, and other raw materials. The role requires maintaining safety standards and proficiency to minimize risks.

What You’ll Do

1. Operate equipment including front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and excavators safely and efficiently.
2. Maintain and clean equipment as scheduled.
3. Report equipment maintenance or repair needs to management.
4. Assist with other tasks such as receiving materials, inventory management, order fulfillment, and general labor as assigned.

Skills We Are Seeking

1. Experience operating heavy equipment listed above (preferred).
2. Knowledge of safety and maintenance protocols.
3. Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
4. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
5. Experience in landscaping, hardscapes, forestry, nursery, or irrigation is a plus.
6. Ability to read and write for record-keeping.
7. High school diploma or equivalent.
