Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical/design experience in a professional setting.
• Experience in PCB design and any ECAD (Altium, KiCAD).
• Hands-on prototyping (soldering, board assembly).
• Experience with controls/actuation, robotics, and/or motor/servo drive systems.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers, power conversion and system integration.
• Ability to read, interpret, and manipulate schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Execute rapid evaluation of engineering concepts across fields.
• Identify industry partners and manage early vendor relationships.
• Perform trade studies and physics-based analysis of engineering problems.
• Design, implement and test complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Lead design reviews and implement hardware test plans.
• Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition projects to production.
• Support hardware demonstrations with customers; travel to test sites as needed.
