Job summary

Avalon Transportation is seeking experienced Motor Coach Bus Drivers based in Reno to work with the Sacramento dispatch team. You'll drive a 56-passenger coach on regional and mountain trips, ensuring safety, comfort, and on-time arrivals. Located Sparks, NV with coordination with Sacramento dispatch.

Requires CDL Class A/B with passenger and air brake endorsements, 2+ years of charter bus experience, and ability to operate in winter conditions. Benefits include bonuses and health coverage.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with passenger and air brakes endorsements
• At least 2 years of charter bus driving
• Mountain driving experience and ability to install snow chains
• Comfort with GPS and ELD
• Ability to work outside in all weather, lift baggage up to 50 lbs., handle stairs, bend, kneel and sit for long periods

Responsibilities

• Drive charter groups on a mix of regional and mountain trips
• Handle winter roads with confidence, including chaining up on I-80 over Donner Pass when chain controls are in effect
• Welcome passengers, help with luggage, and be the friendly face of Avalon

• $29hr - $33hr perhour starting pay

Postion Summary:

Love the open road and the Sierras? Avalon Transportation is looking for experienced Motorcoach Operators based in Reno, working with our Sacramento dispatch team. You'll take groups over the mountains in a 56-passenger coach, including regular trips on I-80 over Donner Pass, and make every ride safe, comfortable, and on time.

What you'll do:

• Drive charter groups on a mix of regional and mountain trips
• Handle winter roads with confidence, including chaining up on I-80 over Donner Pass when chain controls are in effect
• Welcome passengers, help with luggage, and be the friendly face of Avalon

What you'll need:

• CDL Class A or B with passenger and air brakes endorsements (SPAB or school bus certificate a plus)
• At least 2 years of charter bus driving
• Mountain driving experience and the ability to install snow chains
• Comfort with GPS and ELD
• Ability to work outside in all weather, lift baggage up to 50 lbs., handle stairs, bend, kneel, and stretch, and sit for long periods
