BMW of North America is seeking a National Technical Support Engineer, BMW Motorrad, to support US/Canada dealers. You will travel to dealer sites, diagnose difficult repairs, and lead recall and tool programs to optimize service quality and profitability.

You will train dealers, review warranty costs, and provide expert testimony as needed. The role blends field support with headquarters collaboration, heavy instrument work, and occasional Nazareth-based tasks.

Qualifikationen

• 5-7 years' of experience as an automotive technician preferably in powersports or automotive retail with strong customer service.
• Motorcycle/Automotive post-secondary technical education, OE Technical training transcript, or equivalent associate degree.
• Maintain certification for Master Technician, Service Manager and/or Warranty Administrator in the BMW Group University LMS.
• High Voltage repair Blitz certification.

Aufgaben

• Provide in-field dealer support by traveling in the US Motorrad dealer network and consult on difficult repairs, repeat repairs, and prevent buybacks.
• Manage urgent open recall repairs to unsold inventory at Nazareth, PA warehouse for wholesale release.
• Repairs can involve hundreds of vehicles and may require heavy physical labor.
• Organize parts, tools, additional labor and oversee process.
• Accumulate, organize, and prepare technical reports for BMW Motorrad AG to resolve issues and protect BMW’s position.
• Coach and collaborate with Area Managers and dealer personnel on difficult customer cases.
• Select special tools for new model introductions and arrange shipment to dealers.
• Formulate forecast, reserve quantities with BMW AG and coordinate with Parts/Accessory team.
• Manage dealer tool loaner program and track tool requests and returns.
• Evaluate, analyze and document transport damage claims and improve packaging/shipping.
• Conduct dealer training on technical solutions and diagnostic systems.
• Provide special technical assistance for the Police Authority Program.
