Job summary

Mural Group seeks a Motive Power Battery Systems Technician in Memphis, TN to own the battery room and keep lift fleets running 24/7 (except Christmas). The role emphasizes safety, routine maintenance, and precise log-keeping.

You will water, equalize, test capacity, swap battery packs, inspect chargers, and coordinate battery changes with operators. OSHA safety, 50+ lb lifts, and 1–2 years in a battery/industrial setting are preferred; a stable schedule is provided.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
1–2 years in a battery room, industrial/warehouse maintenance, or a closely related skilled trade.
Working knowledge of lead-acid maintenance (watering, equalization, specific gravity testing).
Proven OSHA safety practices and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

Perform routine lead‑acid battery care: watering, cleaning, equalization, and capacity testing.
Execute changeouts/swaps to keep lift trucks running across shifts.
Inspect chargers, connectors, and cables; complete minor repairs and escalate issues.
Track charge/discharge cycles and maintain logs.
Maintain a clean, OSHA‑compliant battery room and safely handle electrolyte spills.
