Job summary

Sysco Foods seeks a full-time Battery Technician to inspect, recharge, repair and replace batteries for our electric warehouse fleet. You will perform scheduled battery changes, monitor charging, and maintain records to support uptime and safety.

Key duties include preventive maintenance on battery changers and chargers, operating MHE equipment safely, and reporting issues to minimize downtime. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and able to pass a functional capacity test.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; or 1 year warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, recharge, repair and replace batteries for electric industrial trucks.
• Charge and rotate batteries to extend life cycle.
• Perform battery changes as scheduled for warehouse equipment.
• Maintain fluid levels, monitor charging and report issues.
• Keep maintenance records and ensure a safe, clean work area.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and battery changers safely.
