Job summary

Mural Group Industrial is seeking a Battery Room Technician in Memphis to own the battery room, keep the forklift fleet charged, maintained, and ready to run on every shift. This safety-critical role operates in a 24/7 distribution facility.

You will perform routine maintenance, battery swaps, inspect chargers, and log maintenance data. The position offers a fixed schedule, OSHA-compliant environment, W-2 employment through Mural Group, and training to develop hands-on skills into a lead

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1–2 years hands-on experience in a battery room, industrial or warehouse maintenance.
Familiarity with lead-acid battery maintenance (watering/equalization).
OSHA safety protocols and PPE experience in maintenance.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate battery lifts/hoists.

Responsibilities

Perform routine lead-acid battery maintenance (watering, cleaning, testing).
Execute battery changeouts to keep lift trucks running on each shift.
Inspect chargers, connectors, and cables; perform basic repairs and escalate issues.
Monitor charge/discharge cycles and maintain maintenance logs.
Troubleshoot batteries using voltmeters, hydrometers, and diagnostic tools.
Keep the battery room clean and OSHA compliant.
Coordinate battery swaps with forklift operators to minimize disruption.
