Job summary

ActAI is seeking a motion designer to craft motion and animation for AI interfaces. You will shape how users perceive loading, uncertainty, progress, and transitions with purposeful motion rather than decoration.

Collaborating with product designers and engineers, you will develop reusable animation patterns, build specs, and help ensure motion remains accessible and performant across mobile and web platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in motion design for digital products.
• Portfolio demonstrating interface animations.
• Ability to design animation under mobile/web constraints.
• Collaborates with product designers and engineers.
• Awareness of accessibility and performance in animation.

Responsibilities

• Design motion and animation for AI product interfaces, including loading states and transitions.
• Create motion that communicates AI activity without long explanations.
• Develop animation patterns for uncertainty, thinking, waiting, failure, and recovery.
• Work with product designers to define feedback and error state cues.
• Build motion specs and a reusable animation library.
• Ensure motion performance is suitable for real-time AI interactions.
• Use motion to reduce confusion, not decorate.
