Job summary

ActAI in New York, NY is seeking a talented visual/UI designer to shape the product's visual language across web and mobile. You will design patterns that clarify AI-driven content, convey system states, and communicate confidence and reliability within dynamic interfaces.

You will collaborate with product and UX teams to build a scalable design system, define visual standards for loading, error, and empty states, and ensure accessibility and legibility.

Qualifications

• Portfolio across web or mobile products.
• Strong typography, color, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Proficiency in Figma and experience contributing to design systems.
• Ability to design for dynamic AI-generated content with varying length and format.
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards and legibility considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design the visual language, design system, and UI components for ActAI's product across web and mobile.
• Create visual patterns to help users parse AI-generated content, understand system states, and gauge confidence and reliability signals.
• Design for information density and hierarchy in AI interfaces with dynamic content.
• Collaborate with product and UX designers to translate interaction flows into polished, accessible visuals.
• Build and maintain a design system that supports speed, consistency, and clarity.
• Define visual standards for error, empty, loading, and task states and AI outputs.
• Contribute visual assets and design specs for engineers to implement accurately.
• Make AI-heavy interfaces feel clear and structured without overwhelming users.
