Job summary

Brain Co. is seeking a motion-focused brand designer in San Francisco to own and evolve our motion language across marketing, product demos, and film.

You will shape the expressive layer of a fast-growing identity and lead AI-driven motion tooling decisions while delivering hands-on work and compelling reels. You’ll collaborate with brand and product designers, report to the Head of Design, and help define transitions, micro-interactions, and motion principles in our product.

Qualifications

• Brand designer with motion expertise and typography foundation.
• Experience shaping motion systems and visual vocabularies.
• Fluent with After Effects; 3D tools a plus.
• Able to defend design decisions in critiques.

Responsibilities

• Define and own Brain Co.’s motion vocabulary across marketing, product demos, social, events, and film.
• Extend the new brand identity into time-based media, including launch videos and conference visuals.
• Partner with product design to establish motion principles in our product: easing, loading states, transitions, and micro-interactions.
• Build high-impact demos and films for governments, healthcare systems, and critical industries.
• Establish framework for AI-assisted motion production: tool selection, workflows, and a visual system.
