Baseten is seeking a Motion Designer to define and evolve the brand's motion language across product launches, social video, events, and campaigns. You will shape a system rather than one-off animations, collaborating with brand, product, marketing, and leadership to translate technical ideas into clear, distinctive motion.

Qualifications

• An exceptional portfolio with a high bar for motion, visual design, and craft.
• Strong design fundamentals across typography, composition, pacing, sound, and storytelling, not just animation technique.
• Own a project end to end—from rough concept through storyboarding, design, animation, and final production.
• Range across brand systems, product storytelling, campaign work, and more experimental ideas.
• Judgment about simplicity and precision versus novelty, and the ability to articulate reasons.
• Enthusiasm for technical products and ability to communicate complex ideas without generic AI visuals.
• Comfort with ownership and ambiguity and a high bar for quality.
• Desire to help build a brand, not just execute against one.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the motion language for the Baseten brand.
• Create high-craft motion work across product launches, social, campaigns, web, events, and out-of-home.
• Concept and produce video content that makes highly technical products feel compelling.
• Think at every scale, from a five-second social clip to a Times Square takeover.
• Partner with brand designers to bring identity systems, typography, illustration, and product storytelling to life through motion.
• Experiment with new formats, tools, techniques, and emerging technology to push the brand into unexpected places.
• Build motion systems and principles that scale across the company.
• Work closely with product and product marketing to make launches feel like moments.
• Raise the bar for motion craft across everything Baseten puts into the world.
