Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Motion Designer to shape the motion language of a growing brand across product launches, social video, events, and large-scale campaigns. You will build a system, not just individual animations, and partner with brand, product, and leadership to translate complex ideas into clear, distinctive visuals.

You will own end-to-end motion work, craft high-quality assets, and push the boundaries of what motion can do in a fast-moving AI-focused product environment.

Qualifications

• A proven portfolio demonstrating high-quality motion, visual design, and craft.
• Strong fundamentals in typography, composition, pacing, sound, and storytelling.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end from concept to final production.
• Experience across brand systems, product storytelling, and campaigns.
• Judgment on when to keep things simple or push for bold, unique ideas.
• Clear, reasoned opinions about motion and brand work.
• Comfort communicating complex product ideas without cliché AI visuals.
• Willingness to take ownership in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Baseten's motion language.
• Create high-craft motion across product launches, social, campaigns, web, events, and OOH.
• Concept and produce video content that makes technical products compelling.
• Think at all scales, from five-second clips to large-scale campaigns.
• Collaborate with brand designers to bring identity systems to life through motion.
• Experiment with new formats, tools, and emerging tech to push the brand.
• Build motion systems and principles that scale company-wide.
• Work with product and product marketing to make launches feel like moments.
• Raise the bar for motion across Baseten's output.
