Job summary

Artisan Talent is seeking a Motion Designer for a contract role in New York, NY. The position involves combining traditional motion craft with generative and agentic workflows for a no-code AI canvas tool, with social-first output on Instagram, X, LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts.

You will contribute to motion systems, stateful design, and collaboration with Founder/CEO, Creative and Product to ship high-impact content across campaigns and product launches.

Qualifications

• Motion designer with portfolio across brand film, product marketing and social video.
• Strong sense for content that works on social platforms like Instagram, X, LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts.
• Solid animation fundamentals including timing, spacing, easing, composition and typography.
• Hands-on experience with traditional, 3D, programmatic and generative AI tools.
• Experience in sound design, editing, color and grading.
• Ongoing AI skill development including context engineering and agent orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Take ideas from 0 to 1 and turn them into motion for product launches, campaigns and social content.
• Build a tiered output model with three levels and decide which tier each moment needs.
• Bring AI tools and agentic workflows into production, including programmatic video and agent-driven editing.
• Use prompt and context engineering to get on-brand output from generative models.
• Track new model/tool releases and integrate useful ones into workflows.
• Shape the motion system timing, easing, and visual/sound design.
• Design and spec product motion such as onboarding and transitions.
• Collaborate with Founder/CEO, Creative and Product.
