Job summary

Regal Rexnord, Portescap, is seeking an Application Engineer in a hybrid onsite model at our West Chester, PA location. You will serve as the technical liaison among customers, sales, and engineering to develop motion control solutions across aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial markets.

You will lead programs from concept through qualification and launch, translate customer needs into specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• 3-5+ years in Application/Sales/Systems/Product engineering or related customer-facing roles.
• Experience working directly with customers to develop and deliver technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines and priorities simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel ~15–20%, including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers during sales and product development lifecycles.
• Collaborate with customers to capture requirements, challenges, performance goals, and program objectives.
• Develop standard or customized motion control solutions aligned with customer needs.
• Translate requirements into technical specs for engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Evaluate applications, perform motor sizing, feasibility and performance validation.
• Support development of custom-engineered products for aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial markets.
• Lead customer programs from concept to production launch, coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Maintain ongoing communication with customers and internal teams to ensure schedules and deliverables.
