Job summary

Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Mother Baby Registered Nurse (RN) for a brand-new state-of-the-art unit with 35 private rooms designed for family-centered recovery. You will develop skills daily by providing quality care to each patient, while collaborating with a dedicated team to support educational activities and maintain competence.

Ideal candidates have an accredited nursing degree, Virginia RN license (or compact), BLS, and at least two years of inpatient RN

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least two years of inpatient RN experience.
• Mother Baby experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to each patient based on individual needs.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and document required information per hospital policy.
• Present a professional appearance and demeanor as part of the nursing staff.

Education

Nursing degree (BSN preferred)

Job Summary and Qualifications

At Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our Mother Baby Unit is a brand new state-of-the-art facility consisting of 35 private rooms designed for family centered recovery. In addition to participating in educational activities to maintain competence and gain new knowledge, you will also develop these skills on a daily basis by providing quality care to each patient based on individual needs. We are an amazing, hardworking team who is looking for a phenomenal addition like you!

• You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers as well as document required information according to hospital policy
• Our nursing staff is expected to present themselves in a professional manner
• As a MBU RN, assessing and fostering patient-infant bonding is a key responsibility
• You must function in an organized and time conscious manner

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
• Current BLS certification
• At least two years of inpatient RN experience required
• Mother Baby experience is highly preferred
