Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a MOT Technician to ensure safe traffic movement through construction zones in Florida. You will set up and maintain lane closures, direct traffic, and comply with FDOT standards while working in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and a flexible schedule to cover nights and weekends. Comprehensive on-the-job training including ATSSA certification is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Demonstrates strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Willing to undergo background check and drug screen.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, 10+ hour days.

Responsibilities

• Implement traffic control measures to protect the public and team members.
• Set up and dismantle lane closures and traffic control equipment.
• Load, unload, and transport signs, cones, and barricades.
• Direct traffic around construction sites using flagging and signaling.
• Perform routine safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
