Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. is seeking an MOT Foreman to lead traffic control operations on local road projects. You will supervise flaggers, install safety devices, and plan traffic movements with the project Superintendent to ensure safe, efficient work zones.

Ideal candidates have a DOT traffic control certification, 3+ years of traffic control experience, and 2+ years of supervisory work in construction. A high school diploma and an MVR check with a Florida license are required.

Qualifications

• DOT traffic control certification required.
• 3+ years of traffic control experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to work days, nights or weekends as needed.
• Ability to complete required paperwork efficiently.
• Must meet MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Employer conducts drug testing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and maintains traffic within project limits and develops a plan for traffic control with the Superintendent.
• Furnishes, installs, and maintains traffic control and safety devices.
• Provides for the safe movement of traffic as specified by project plans.
• Supervises and coordinates flaggers and traffic control specialists.
• Cooperates with Safety Director and Inspectors to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Ensures all projects are completed safely and in compliance with laws and policies.
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Knowledgeable about safety, OSHA, EEO and affirmative action programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
