Pennymac in Moorpark, CA is seeking a Loan Research Negotiation Specialist II to negotiate retention or liquidation workout solutions with defaulted borrowers, aiming to avoid foreclosure and mitigate losses. You will analyze loan data and prepare packages for management, ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires experience with mortgage liens and short sales, and strong Excel/Word skills to support daily processing and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Experience with first and second mortgage liens and short sale/liquidation preferred.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and attitude while speaking with customers or conversing via email.
• Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, loan documentation and other relevant data to determine best workout solution.
• Conduct gain/loss analysis on loans to project any potential future loss versus the acceptance of a short sale or deed in lieu.
• Obtain transaction approval by preparing complete package for management review.
• Review delinquent mortgages on a daily basis to ensure proper resolution.
• Process applications needing more oversight or Investor involvement, especially applications that may involve more risk to Pennymac.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.
• Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values.
