Job summary

First Financial Bank seeks a supervisory underwriting leader to oversee consumer lending real-estate underwriting and ensure high-quality loan files. You will guide adherence to policy, regulations, and customer service standards while coordinating with the Mortgage and Consumer Fulfillment Manager.

You will mentor staff, drive process improvements, and manage pipeline performance to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of underwriting experience.
• 2–5 years of management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of mortgage process and mortgage documents.
• Ability to adapt well to change.

Responsibilities

• Supervises consumer underwriting and ensures high loan quality and customer service.
• Effectively communicate policy/procedure updates and regulatory changes to team.
• Monitor pipeline and advise on workload balance and production.
• Mentor and train team members; conduct performance reviews.
• Assist in creating documents, processes and policy for underwrite/processing.
• Resolve escalated borrower issues and provide innovative loan restructuring solutions.
