Job summary

AD Mortgage is recruiting for an Underwriter in training to learn the ins and outs of mortgage guidelines and grow into a subject matter expert. You will evaluate loan applications, credit reports, and appraisals to craft compliant, clear file narratives.

You’ll use LexisNexis and MERS to identify risks and prevent fraud, collaborating with broker partners to clear conditions and help families secure their homes.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree or 0-2 years of professional experience.

  • Master the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac rulebooks through our specialized training program.

Working Conditions:
  • This is a full-time, office-based position in a modern, cozy environment in our Troy, MI office.

  • Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
